Shallow Characters??? Why Not!

Are my characters shallow? 

Yep, well, …um…I just guess they are.  The big secret?  I wrote them like that!!!

Case study:  The Shelf……

This novel is NOT supposed to be a deep, heavy midnight read.  No, not at all.  In fact, the Dead-End Ave series is bringing back the fun, light-hearted ‘teen-chiller’ reads.  Remember those??  

Perfect for the summer, read it in a couple of days, and spend weeks after shaking your head at the shallow/ quirkiness of the characters.  I know all about these types of novels, having spent my pre-teen and teen years tearing into them.  Some of my personal favorites, from back-in-the day:

Maybe in the future, readers might remember The Shelf and the Dead-End Ave series “fondly” like this too: ‘Man, were those characters shallow, selfish, silly…and ALL other things that make books fun and light-hearted.’

I know.....I've been M.I.A., (and not Miami, either).  Missing, from this blog, because I was....gasp.....writing!

FINALLY, I know!

  The thing is with releasing Books, Books, Books and then soliciting Reviews, Reviews, Reviews, and then supporting your author friends, is that you still have to turn around and 

WRITE, WRITE, WRITE,

otherwise,

.....you'll lose all of your hard-earned reader interest.  

Readers want to see progress....and BOOKS.....and REVIEWS.....and POPULARITY.  Sounds like high school all over again....***Kish
